Provide Support, Assess and Conduct Minor Preventative Maintenance & Repairs on the following Equipment:

  • Air Handlers / Chillers / Vent and Exhaust Units
  • Vacuum Pumps & Air Compressors
  • Building Automation Systems
  • All aspects of office environments and lighting
  • Building infrastructure, roofs, doors, windows and overall site

Daily Job Responsibilities

  • Complete building rounds and respond to requests and/or emergencies
  • Ability to work safely around hazardous materials
  • Shipping and Receiving, Stocking (solvents, consumables, etc.)
  • Assist in preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all building equipment
  • Assist with the repair and  upkeep of the facilities and equipment
  • General facility cleaning and maintenance
  • Assist in managing outside vendors for repair and maintenance services
  • May perform minor plumbing, heating and air conditioning HVAC work,
  • Manage facilities maintenance/calibration schedules and spare parts inventory for building equipment
  • Test safety equipment/emergency shower/eyewashes
  • Hazardous waste collection and disposal including documentation
  • In-house minor construction, fabrication, and upkeep
  • May perform electrical work in repairing and replacing fluorescent fixtures, control switches,
  • Running Errands (Costco, Home Depot, deliveries, etc.,)
  • Perform work & maintain work area in a neat, orderly professional manner
  • Help create a positive work environment
  • Other reasonable duties may be assigned as necessary

Qualification Requirements

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, be self-motivated and organized
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Complete understanding of repairs and maintenance at a facility level
  • Skilled in hands on mechanical, plumbing, general building repairs and consider self a “Jack of all trades”
  • Familiar with Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Ability to use basic construction tools effectively
  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
  • Familiar with GMP compliance requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities - a plus
  • Good computer skills-familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel preferred
  • Experience with Trane HVAC and Siemens Apogee BMS - a plus
  • Must be able to carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Physical Demands/Work Environment:  

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 50 lbs.).
